- Reference standard
- EN 60839-11 / CEI 79-18
What it means
The door opens without a valid access grant: the door status contact opens without the controller having released the lock. The system raises a door forced alarm, which may indicate an actual break-in, an untracked exit, or an unreliable door status contact.
Probable causes
- Actual forced opening (break-in or unauthorized exit)
- Door status magnetic contact misaligned or faulty, opens under vibration
- Electric lock or strike not holding (weak spring, worn latch)
- Exit via panic bar not wired to the request-to-exit (REX) input
- Lock release time too short compared to the actual door opening
