What it means
The gate will not close or reverses: the control unit sees the photocells engaged even with no obstacle. Dirt on the lens, TX/RX misalignment, condensation or oxidized wiring are the typical causes; the LED on the receiver immediately shows where to look.

- Photocell obstructed by dirt, leaves, cobwebs
- Misalignment between transmitter (TX) and receiver (RX)
- Photocell lens damaged or fogged by condensation
- Wiring interrupted or connection oxidized
