RECTIFIER FAULT Eaton — Rectifier / Charger Fault (DC Bus)
At a glance
- Severity
- FAULT STOP
- Domain
- UPS_SYSTEM
- Reference standard
- IEC 62040-1 / IEC 62040-3
What it means
The rectifier no longer feeds the DC bus: the inverter runs on battery only and runtime is limited to the remaining charge. Typical fault with DC bus or charger alarms.
Probable causes
- Missing input phase or wrong sequence
- Rectifier fuses or breakers tripped
- Degraded DC bus capacitors
- Insufficient rectifier ventilation (filters, fans)
- Control board / power module failure (modular systems)
Where to start
Verify the complete input supply (all phases + neutral), tight terminals and closed upstream protections. Check phase sequence where required.
