Network Disconnected Hikvision — Network Error / Bandwidth Insufficient

What it means
Choppy images, dropping streams or cameras coming and going: the network cannot handle the video traffic. Check available bandwidth, loops on unmanaged switches, cable category and how many cameras share the same uplink port.
Probable causes
- Insufficient network bandwidth for the number of streams
- Unmanaged switch with network loop (broadcast storm)
- Network cable of lower category (Cat5 instead of Cat5e/Cat6)
- Too many cameras on a single uplink port
