- Power Meter Communication Lost
What it means
Fault on the energy meter or fiscal metering system: communication loss with the meter, incorrect CT ratio, non-functional pulse output. Production/export data unreliable.
Probable causes
- Modbus communication with the meter lost (RS485 cable, wrong address).
- CT (current transformer) ratio incorrectly configured in the meter.
- CT polarity reversed causing negative or erroneous readings.
- Meter pulse output not configured or cable disconnected.
Where to start
Verify the Modbus communication with the meter: check the RS485 wiring, slave address, and serial parameters. Does the meter respond to Modbus polling?
