What it means
Ground fault detected on the drive output side (motor cable or motor windings). The drive has detected a leakage current to ground exceeding the configured threshold. This type of fault is hazardous to both personnel and the drive and requires immediate intervention.
Probable causes
- Deterioration of motor cable insulation (moisture, abrasion, aging)
- Motor winding fault with ground contact
- Condensation inside the motor after a long standstill period
- Motor cable too long without an output filter (capacitive discharges)
Where to start
Disconnect the motor cable from the drive terminals (U/V/W). Measure the insulation of each phase to ground (PE) with a 500V DC megger. Are the values above 1 MΩ?
