- Reference standard
- IEC 60947-6-1 / CEI 64-8
What it means
The ATS fails to transfer the load between sources (mains/gen or mains/mains): with mains absent the load stays on UPS until exhaustion even with a healthy genset.
Probable causes
- Control logic or relays failed
- Switch operator (motor/servo) failed
- Missing source quality consent (voltage/frequency out of window)
- Interlocks or jumpers in the wrong position after maintenance
Where to start
Verify both sources (measured voltage and frequency) and the current switch position and interlocks.
