At a glance
- Severity
- FAULT STOP
- Domain
- CHILLED_WATER_SYSTEM
- Reference standard
- EN 378 / F-Gas EU 517/2014
What it means
Chiller stopped on alarm (pressures, compressor, protections): plant cooling capacity drops and rising chilled water temperature brings the room closer to its limit.
Probable causes
- High or low pressure alarm (dirty condenser, charge, EEV)
- Compressor failure or thermal protection
- Water flow switch or pressure switch open (insufficient flow)
- Sensor or control board failure
Where to start
Read the chiller alarm code and verify redundancy status (N+1 active? water temperature rising?).
